WORKSTUDY • FAIR TRADE • SCHOLARSHIPS
It is one of Rock The Path's most cherished core values that everyone - regardless of financial circumstance - has the opportunity to participate in and benefit from RTP's programs and services.
More than half of those who attend our programs use Workstudy, Fair Trade and/or Scholarship Funding to pay for part or all of their tuition. Scroll down to learn how each one works.

WORKSTUDY PROGRAM
Want to take a workshop for free?! If so, our Workstudy Program may be just right for you, and anyone can qualify. Simply first work the program you'd like to take, and then take the same program the next time it's offered for free! Workstudy is pretty simple, is a big help to Center staff and is a great way to volunteer your time in the community.
Workstudy duties might include class, support and snack bar set-up, assisting the chef in preparing or serving meals, cleaning, making beds, running errands and anything else which might pop-up during a program.
While Workstudy is a true commitment and requires an initial brief training of about an hour or so, it can be a great way for anyone to economically take programs at Rock The Path while contributing to the exciting things we do here.

FAIR TRADE PROGRAM
The Fair Trade Program trades "hours for hours" or "value for value" allowing any participant to reduce their desired program's tuition cost by trading work, needed materials or services, and/or their specific expertise for all or part of a program's tuition cost.
Here's how it works: Let's say the Center needs some fall landscaping cleanup, and 1) you want to take a program, and 2) you like raking leaves. You could rake leaves at the Center for 2 hours and earn a two hour "program credit" which you could then apply to any program you'd like to take, reducing your tuition by that program's calculated hourly rate.
You might also "pay" part or all of your tuition with vouchers or gift certificates for your business's items or services.
Like Workstudy, Fair Trade is a big help, a great way to volunteer your time or expertise in the community, and, depending on what you're trading, can even be a nice way to showcase your products or services.
SCHOLARSHIP FUNDING
Tuition funding may be available to participants who meet the Scholarship Fund's financial aid requirements. If able, participants who receive scholarship funding are asked to make a contribution to their program's tuition monetarily and/or through our Fair Trade or Workstudy Programs.
